PSA Animatic WIP

The animatic for the PSA story board, although incomplete in many aspects, gives a good idea of where I want to go with the animation. The story board consists of five scenes, with two being blank so far. Those two scenes will consist of words and characters that I will create and add later on in the creation process. The same decisions were made for the other scenes as well, where I will go back and add animated characters in them to fill the empty space and give life to the animation as a whole.

The process for creating the animatic had a few hiccups here and there, but I was able to work around them with only some difficulty and frustration. There was a lot of effort put into this stage of the PSA, with hand-drawing all of the scenes and converting the backgrounds into Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, then creating the audio and piecing together and cutting away some parts from the original idea.

Going forward, I will be trimming some parts of the audio to try to eliminate some of the awkward pauses and fixing the timing of the scenes to go with it. I will also be adding the characters, text, and animations within each scene as I mentioned before to give more life to the PSA and drive the central message home. The animatic as it currently exists is shown below.
