Time to Build: 2 hours
Time to Animate: 1 hour
Problems encountered: As I was moving the character during its pounce, the legs were getting squished and almost exposed the wire that was holding them in place. It was hard to try and get everything to look the same as it was originally at the start of the animation.
Aha moment: One "aha moment" I had was when I was building the character and was trying to figure out how I could place and exchange the moving parts that made up the character. I found that sticking a short piece of wire at the neck and leg joints so that they could be placed in the exact same location and also be able to spin. The second one came when I needed my clay character to pounce on a rock. The character would need to be unbalanced and basically stand up on its own. I ended up using the same color clay as my character to prop it up where the camera could not see it.
If I animated this again I would: Add a few more in-between frames when the character crouches, pounces, and its tail wags to make the movements a little more smooth.
